Abstract Photography

So I have recently been really into abstract art both painting and drawing and so I thought I'd take a look at abstract photography. I find it really interesting because with photography you can only photograph what's actually there so unlike painting or drawing where you can easily skew and distort your image with photography its more of a focus on the weird small details of something like chipping paint. I found some pretty cool pictures taken by Mark Raymond Mason. Here's his website if you want to check out more of his work. http://www.markraymondmason.com/galleries.php

Show Weekend

So we had the IHSA show this last weekend, which means waking up at 3am and being a slave until 4pm. But aside from the bitterness, here are some pictures from the weekend.

Cocks

So working at Barnes and Noble has its perks, one of which being able to look at books before they are on the shelf. Photographer Ernst Goh has made an entire book on photographing chickens and by some miracle these birds actually look quite beautiful. Just goes to show you that anything can be beautiful even a stupid chicken. Anyway check out his other photography which is also pretty interesting. http://www.ernestgoh.com/  And here are some pictures of cock.

Yellowstone

I went to Yellowstone on Sunday for the day. I didn't take that many pictures but here are a few of the ones I did take. We saw some coyotes, buffalo (obviously), elk, and I think its a goat but I could be wrong. On the way out we chilled in the boiling rover for a bit but I didn't take my camera there. I sadly lost a flip flop to the river.
I rounded one of the first turn in the park and had this herd charging at me. It was pretty cool to have them surround my car, though it made me nervous they would hit it.
 A pretty landscape.
This snow was untouched and just looked super soft, I wanted to touch it but unfortunately I know snow is not as soft as it looks.
This little coyote we almost drove by. He kept leaping in the air like a fox and it was super cute. He was really far away though.
And then we found two other coyotes that were much closer and created quite the gathering of people on the streets.
Also almost drove by this fellow. I'm pretty sure its a goat. I almost crashed trying to back up to him.
I made some weird noises at this guy so he would unbury his head from the snow. He was not amused with me.
And finally some elk with they're faces buried in the snow.
