Remember, remember the 5th of November, the gunpowder treason and plot, I know of no reason the gunpowder should ever be forgot. Now that I got that out of my system lets get on to the good stuff.
Today we went on a class adventure to several towns/ cities. First stop was Filigno where we were given special access to a church containing a massive plaster skeleton, we are very lucky to have Rosella here at the Villa she gets us into the coolest places and usually pretty cheap. This skeleton was so big that someone laid down next to the hand of it and was still not bigger than it.
Then we made our way to Assisi to see the Basilica of St. Mary and the Angels as well as the Basilica of St. Francis, this was super cool and Rosella pulled some strings and found a way to permit us to take pictures inside of the St. Mary Basilica (which was so awesome of her).
We made our way to the town of Gobbio (they have some really weird names sometimes) and just shot some pictures of the town. Unfortunately it is pretty rainy today so we got back to the Villa earlier than planned since sunset pictures were a no go.
In other news this weekend a group of 6 of us are spending the weekend in Venice, Milan, and Verona. We leave Friday morning and get back in the afternoon Sunday, it will probably rain some but how can you spend any length of time in Italy and not visit these places? Also I can't believe the semester is almost over, we have a little over a week left of classes and I'm going to be really sad to leave this place I didn't do nearly as much as I wanted. After I leave the Villa on the 14th I'll be in Rome for a day doing some last minute appreciation of the city and then I fly to Ireland on the 15th to stay there for 5 days. After Ireland I go to Amsterdam for 4 days to hangout with the one and only Amber Fernald (who I hope is as excited to be reunited as I am)! On the 23rd I fly home, it will be awesome to finally be home for Thanksgiving since I've been at school the past two years for it. And that will be the end of my study abroad adventure, its coming too soon though, holy crap.
To keep myself form freaking out too much on with the pictures.
